Standardbred care facility

John grew up on a horse farm in King Township, Ontario (just north of King City) where his family had an average of 125 horses stabled at any given time.  John learned to ride and care for horses from an early age.  Throughout his teenage years, John worked for many horse farms exercising, breaking and training their horses.  John is not the only one in the family who is in the "horse business".  John's older brother David, is a retired jockey who rode mainly out of Woodbine Racetrack, while his older sister Kathryn retired from running a riding school located in Schomberg, Ontario.

We, John & Susan, bought our first horse farm in Tottenham, Ontario in 1997, where we started out with our own horses.  It didn't take long for the herd to grow as we soon started breeding our mares and taking on boarded horses.  In 2002, we moved to a larger farm in Caledonia area.  In 2010, the opportunity arose to purchase a second farm where we live and care for standardbred horses.

We have had many years experience caring for horses, including breeding mares, foaling, and looking after injured and young horses.  If you are looking for a place to turnout your racehorse or allow it to recover from an injury, if you have a mare that you would like to breed or need a place for your broodmare to foal, where your horse will receive top notch care, please give us a call!
